Control Life By Controlling Your Attitude and Behavior

By William Burnell

Expert Author William Burnell

If you want to control life to get what you want you need to control your attitude and behavior. If people do not like you it is not because there is something wrong with them. It is not their faults that stop them from seeking your company or becoming your friends. It's not their faults that cause them to break up with you. It is not the world's fault you do not have a good job or do not have enough money. You can be in control and have the capacity to shape life to your own liking. But you need the will to do it.

Your Relationships

If your relationship is not going well do not list all the faults of your partner and all the things they did or did not do to contribute to the relationship. Do what you can to foster a climate of goodwill by making a generous, positive contribution to help the relationship to grow. Look to what you can give and make sure you do that. This will encourage your partner to respond in the same way. If this does not happen, then you might have the wrong partner, and you can at least be assured you did what you could to make it work.

On the other hand, you may decide it does not matter. You may be the one that supplies most of the emotion to the relationship but your partner might give faithfulness or loyalty or consideration. Look for the good traits in your partner that compliment your own. This way the relationship could work.

Your Work

The same applies to your job. You decide what you have to give to your work to get the rewards you want from it. This means getting both satisfaction and money. You need to want to go to work every day. You will only do this if your attitude to your job is positive. This means treating your co-workers with courtesy and respect and looking for opportunities to work with them cooperatively. It's not a matter of ingratiating yourself to them or your boss, but rather treating them as associates, not as adversaries.

Your positive, helpful attitude will rub off and most will respond in like manner. You willingness to give generously of your time and effort will be noticed and rewarded. There is an old saying along the lines: Don't look for a job you love to do but get to love the job you have to do. In other words, use positive thinking to help you enjoy your present job.

Your Life

There is a lot in the law of attraction when it comes to what you get in life. Think and act in a positive way and you will attract people. This attitude will flow through to all aspects of your life. Good things will happen because you expect them to. Where once you may have looked on a particular happening as negative, you will look for the positive side to it. You will look for the opportunities it might offer and you will find them. This will open up the opportunity to meet more people, which will allow you to choose who you want to mix with or cultivate.

You can control life by taking control of the way you think, which will affect the way you behave, which will eventually give you the life you want.

You will find effective tools to help you control life and get what you want when you visit http://powerofmind.personaldevelopment.mobi William Burnell has built and sold his own business and he has run successful sales teams. He knows what it takes to control attitude and behavior to reach your objectives.

Overcoming Negative Thinking: 4 Effective Ways

By D. G. Bentley

Expert Author D. G. Bentley

Life is not easy. We all know this. To accomplish tasks in life, it is a must for everyone to avoid a negative mental attitude. If you are having trouble figuring out the techniques to use for overcoming negative thinking, read on.

People who may be facing frequent problems in life and are stressed out because of them attract negative energies into their lives. Overcoming these negative forces with a confident, more positive will, can change life completely.

One of the main deciding factors between success and failure in any venture is self-attitude. People who have a positive frame of mind can more easily achieve success. In contrast, someone who is suffering from a negative self-attitude encounters more frequent failures.

Here are four simple, but powerful techniques you can easily apply to avoid a negative mental attitude, and establish a strong, positive self-attitude.

1.) Associate Only With Positive Friends And Relatives

If you want to stay away from negativity, then be surrounded with friends and relatives who have a highly positive attitude. Those closest to us have the most influence upon us.

But, sometimes relatives, and even friends, act within their own interests rather than ours. Furthermore, if we change, they may be the first to feel a threat to their position in our life. So, be very selective about whom you associate with.

2.) Focus

Focus! Focus on your desires! These should be so high that, no matter how bad the times get, or how tough the conditions that you face become, nothing can ever take you away from your focus and the goals that you have set out for yourself to achieve.

3.) Avoid Mistakes When You Can: Learn From Them Always

It's a fool who does not learn from his mistakes: it's a bigger fool who does not learn from the mistakes of others.

Mistakes and failures are a big part of life, and happen every day. If they hurt, congratulate yourself! Hurting is a sign of growing.

Mistakes are learning opportunities; painful ones, yes. But each mistake brings you closer to your goal- if you can learn from it. Wisdom comes from knowledge and experience, and mistakes are the opportunities to grow in wisdom.

Remember- it's not how far you fall, it's how high you bounce that counts!

4.) Sports

Get into sports! Sports not only help you gain good health, they also help you become a better, more rounded, more positive and optimistic person.

A person who participates in sports knows the value of a positive attitude and learns to believe in their ability to win the game by pushing themselves past their limits.

Olympic medals are formulated in the minds of medallists when they are children, and no obstacle can remove that vision from their minds.

Overcoming Negative Thinking: Final Words

Negativity is that attitude of a human being which can transform one into a totally unhappy, beaten-down individual with no dreams and no motivations.

So, if you don't want to become aimless and lost, if you have the desire to become an individual who has lots of abilities, then it is compulsory that you quit negativity completely.

Move confidently and with determination towards your true, positive nature.

Follow these four simple strategies for overcoming negative thinking and you will establish a strong and positive self-attitude.

How To Protect Against a Computer Virus

By Jeremy P Stanfords

When the trusty computer starts slowing down, there could be a number of reasons why. You may need to defragment the hard drive, or have too many programs or apps, but not enough memory. However, it could also be a virus or spyware wreaking havoc on the system. If it is the latter, there are virus removal methods to consider before the damage becomes irreversible.

What is a Virus?
A virus is a software program that reproduces and causes tremendous harm to a computer's files or programs. The harm could result in extensive damage to the hard drive, which could cost hundreds to replace. Therefore, taking proper virus removal steps is something computer owner should consider.

What are some signs of a computer viral infection?

• The computer runs much slower than usual.
• You get a barrage of pop-up ads, or programs constant restart randomly.
• The computer crashes or freezes for no apparent reason.
• You type in one website URL, but are constantly redirected to another.

Sometimes, the damage is minimal, to where it just alters the desktop picture. In other cases, you may get numerous pop-up ads. However, some viruses can erase information or even shut down the computer, while severe ones may also create a security loophole, resulting in identity theft anytime you shop online. Fortunately, there are steps that can stop any of these things from happening.

Get an Antivirus Program
The first step in defending your computer is downloading a good antivirus program. This acts as a safeguard against any malicious software or websites that could cripple the computer. Some programs offer a free trial, then a paid subscription when the trial expires. However, if you just need basic protection, free software exists, and monitors for potential threats. Make sure the program also protects against spyware, which can cause just as much trouble. If it does not, you may need to download an antispyware program as well.

Run a Security Scan Periodically
While antivirus software checks for possible threats, scan the hard drive on a regular basis, usually about once a week. The scan will likely take about half an hour minimum, but will still allow you to perform other computer tasks like surfing the internet or playing a game.

Do Not Open Unfamiliar Emails
Many harmful viruses come attached to emails. As soon as you open the attachment or click the website link, it begins working on your system. If you do not recognize the sender's name, proceed with caution. Email clients should include a "Junk" folder that filters out any suspicious emails that come to the inbox.

This was created back in 1998 and was named after a university student, Robert Morris, the same student who created the worm. This worm infected 10 percent of all the computers that were linked to the internet and there were about 60,000 computers connected to the internet at that time. The worm brought all the systems to halt.

Triggered each year on April 26, CIH was designed to wipe data from the hard drives of the victims and to overwrite the computer's BIOS chip that transformed the computer into a plastic lump. Its creator was Chen Ing Hau.

· Anna Kournikova worm

It was back in the year 2000 when the Anna Kournikova worm dispersed across the globe which offered images of the famous tennis player. It infected Windows computers with an email worm. This virus was written by Jan de Wit who was a fan from the Netherlands.

· ILOVEYOU

In May 2000, internet users received ILOVEYOU messages and they were sent to everybody who was in the contact list of the user. This one was designed to snip the internet access passwords.

· The Melissa virus

Melissa is recognized as a fast-spreading macro virus which was circulated through an e-mail attachment. This virus was created by David L. Smith and was a successful email-ware.

· The Blaster Worm

Blaster worm was created in 2003 as a denial of service attack against the Microsoft's website. The impact of this worm was seen on millions of PCs across the world. The author of this particular worm was never discovered.

· Netsky and Sasser

Netsky and Sasser worms were discovered by Sven Jaschan, a German teenager. He was held responsible for about 70 percent of all the malware that were circulated over the internet. Later on, he was hired as an ethical hacker by a security company.

· OSX/RSPlug Trojan

It was back in November 2007 when the OSX/RSPlug Trojan appeared as an example of a financially-motivated malware which mainly targeted Mac users. Its launch raised concerns among Mac users which thought that Apple's platform might get infiltrated.

· Storm worm

The Storm worm was originally perplexed as a bad weather breaking news affecting Europe. Actually, this virus was in the news in 2007 and influenced millions of PCs. Hackers circulated spam and stole millions of identities.
