Setup Email in Opera Browser

imageI just tried Opera browser’s built-in Mail client, if you like to find alternative client like MS Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora, and other Email Client application, you should try Opera.

download Opera browser here

Here's how I configure my email.

image

image

You can put your Gmail.

image

image

IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol)

IMAP is not an email program in itself. Just like POP, it is a protocol
by which you can read email. IMAP allows you to view your email from
more than one place. E.g. from your desktop computer at work and from your laptop at home and from abroad and from your mobile device - multiple locations.

To
use IMAP effectively, you need to make sure that each program on each
computer that you use to view your email is set up to use IMAP.

POP (Post Office Protocol)

POP
is suitable if you have no need to check your email in multiple
locations. If you only ever check your email on your computer at work,
for example, then POP is fine for this purpose, because it downloads all
of your emails to the computer.

For Gmail users:

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL

imap.gmail.com

Port: 993

Requires SSL:Yes

Outgoing Mail (SMTP)
Server - Requires TLS

smtp.gmail.com

Port: 465 or 587

Requires SSL: Yes

image

With Opera, I can surf the web and monitor my incoming mail at left sidebar, opening inbox will automatically opens a new tab.

Solution: Blogger’s Recent Comments Gadget Has Error

clip_image002

I was surprised when adding the Recent Comment gadget in blogger to show all comments in my blog but found the broken link with a message “We are sorry; this gadget appears to be broken. This gadget has error, and can not be used until fixed”.

After surfing for some time, I found a brilliant solution from helplogger to just use HTML/JavaScript gadget.

Add Gadget >> HTML/Java Script and Copy the following code, paste it into the gadget box and replace www.nunes.tl with your blog URL. Click Save.

<script style=text/javascript src="http://helplogger.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/recent comments widget.js"></script><script style=text/javascript >var a_rc=5;var m_rc=false;var n_rc=true;var o_rc=100;</script><script src=http://www.nunes.tl/feeds/comments/default?alt=json-in-script&callback=showrecentcomments ></script><span id=rcw-cr><a href=http://helplogger.blogspot.com/2012/03/recent-comments-widget-for-blogger.html>Recent Comments Widget</a></span><style type=text/css> .rcw-comments a {text-transform: capitalize;} .rcw-comments {border-bottom: 1px dotted; padding-top: 7px!important; padding-bottom: 7px!important;} #rcw-cr {font-family: Arial,Tahoma;font-size:9px;padding-top:7px;display:block;} </style>

Convert PDF to Word

PDF2Word

I’m sure you’ve ever experienced the same situation, where suddenly your friend came and asking a help to convert PDF to Word document, and you are busy browsing to find out what is the best FREE PDF to Word converter available out there.

Tips: Before say yes to help, please have a close look of the PDF file to identify, is it originally typed document or a scanned document.

Because some files are created from word document by inserting a scanned hard copy of the document and created as PDF file. When dealing with PDF from scanned document, this software will not be useful because it will create a word document with scanned image that we can not edit.

If you seeking a free PDF to Word Converter, you can download it at BullZip.com

You can also download a free version of PDF Converter, there are lots of PDF converter but I have been using Nitro product since 2006 and I’m quite happy with it. You can download PrimoPDF here.

What Is Vector Art?

By Emily S Delbridge

Expert Author Emily S Delbridge

If you are into digital art, you have probably come across the term vector art. But, what is so special about vector graphics? What can they do different from other types of graphics? Knowing what it can do for you can change how you use and think of graphics from this point forward.

Vector art is a type of digital graphic which uses mathematical points to create an image. It can be used in thousands of different applications. Business logos, billboards, invitations, announcements, greeting cards, menus, newsletters, web applications, and print projects of all kinds for commercial and personal use.

What is so special about vector art?

The best part about vector art is its scalability. Because it uses mathematical points to pinpoint its size and location, you are able to resize the graphic without losing any of its quality. Scalability makes these graphics a higher quality graphic which are typically used in even more applications than a traditional bitmap graphic.

For example, you can take a small vector logo that fits on a business card and resize it to fit on a billboard. The graphic will not lose any image quality because it is mathematically resized. There is no need to create multiple sized bitmap graphics from scratch in order to fit your application. Vector art saves tons of time and energy because of its versatility.

Where can you get vector art?

Create your own: Create vector art using software capable of generating the graphics. A couple of popular programs include Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape. Adobe Illustrator is great software which comes with a price tag. Many professionals in the graphic design industry use Adobe software for all of their projects. Inkscape is a powerful open source vector editor which is a fancy way of saying free.

If you are just starting out, begin with the free software and upgrade to Illustrator at a later time. Adobe has also recently come out with a cloud service where you can use their software for a monthly fee. Being able to try the software out for a monthly fee is a great way to try it before you buy it. Or, the monthly subscription is a good option if you always want access to the latest and greatest.

Find it online: Vector images can be found online. Some sites will offer paid vector graphics and some offer them free. Usually vector art comes in a file extension of.svg online. Other vector image formats include.eps or.ai. This type of artwork is often classified and or grouped with clip art and borders.

In addition, a great resource for online vector graphics is www.artmaven.com. Art Maven is a site dedicated to bringing everyone free original vector art which can be used for birthday projects, holiday crafts, and more.
